Job 24:22-24

Yet [God] prolongs the life of the [wicked] mighty by His power; they rise up when they had despaired of life. God gives them security, and they rest on it; and His eyes are upon their ways. They are exalted for a little while, and then are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all others are and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
