Kdosi řekl: Buď tak laskav, prosím, a pojď se svými otroky. Odpověděl: Půjdu. Šel tedy s nimi. Přišli k Jordánu a káceli stromy. I stalo se, že kdosi porážel kmen a sekera spadla do vody. Křičel: Ach, můj pane, byla půjčená! Muž Boží se zeptal: Kam spadla? Když mu to místo ukázal, uřízl kus dřeva, hodil ho tam a sekera vyplavala. Řekl: Vytáhni si ji. Vztáhl ruku a vzal si ji.
