Stále na cestách, ohrožován řekami, ohrožován lupiči, ohrožován svými rodáky, ohrožován pohany, ohrožován ve městě, ohrožován na poušti, ohrožován na moři, ohrožován mezi falešnými bratry. Tolik dřiny a vyčerpání, tolik bezesných nocí! Vím, co je hlad, žízeň a časté půsty, vím, co je chlad a nahota. Kromě toho všeho na mě denně doléhá ještě starost o všechny církve.
