How to Shine: The Three Goals of a Lightgliderنموونە

Welcome back to “How to Shine: The Three Goals of a Lightglider!” This is Day 3 of this Bible reading plan. Today we are discussing RESCUE. This is the second goal of a Lightglider. Lightgliders have the awesome responsibility of going on missions to rescue the Gliddles from danger. You put on armor, glide into the Yonders, and free Gliddles from the clutches of menacing Machines. This is a powerful reminder that rescuing others from dangerous situations requires courage and strength of character.

And, when we seek for others to be rescued, we are reflecting God’s great love for us. Did you know that God is a rescuer? He stopped at nothing to rescue you. You and everyone on earth needs to be rescued from sin and death. When we sin, we miss the mark of God’s love and we contribute to the world’s brokenness. So God the Father sent Jesus His Son to earth to rescue sinful and broken people. Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus rescues us so that we can experience God’s love forever!

This is the greatest rescue mission of all time!

• Read Galatians 1:3-5, Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23
• Why do we need to be rescued?
• How does our sin and selfishness hurt us and those around us?
• How does Jesus rescue us?
• Take a moment to pray and thank God for rescuing you through Jesus.
