How to Shine: The Three Goals of a Lightgliderنموونە

Welcome to Day 1 of “How to Shine: The Three Goals of a Lightglider.” To help you get the most out of this Bible reading plan, it is important to define some key terms.
- Shine: This means to love God and love others in ways you were uniquely designed to do so.
- Goals: These are meaningful targets that you want to aim for. They impact your daily decisions and behaviors.
- Lightglider: These are people who know that they were made to shine. Lightgliders is a virtual world of Christian faith, games, and community for kids.
Ok, now that we are in agreement on the key terms, let’s dive in!
If you truly know that you are made to shine, then you should let the light inside you overflow into the world. To do this, you must first understand that the True Light is Jesus. And, when you shine, you reflect his light and love to those around you.
You may be asking “How do I shine?” Great question! We suggest getting to know and follow Jesus. When you look closely at his life, you will see how he inspires the three goals of a Lightglider. They are easy to remember and they all start with “R”.
- Respect
- Rescue
- Restore
We’ll look at each one of these goals in the coming days. Setting goals is important because they give us something to strive for! They also help us live with purpose and to spend our time wisely. When we set a goal, we commit to think and act in ways that will help us reach it.
Here are some things to do and think about today:
- What are goals and why are they important?
- What goals are you pursuing in your life?
- Read Philippians 3:12-14
- What is the author of Philippians goal? Has he reached it?
- Watch the video about Goals.
