Characteristics that God wants to develop in us are referred to as His “communicable attributes.” Some of them are called the Fruit of the Spirit, found in the book of Galatians. In the same way that God made us in His image, He also desires to mold and form certain of His Godly attributes in our lives. Galatians 5:22 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” God wants us to be like a healthy tree, producing these fruits in our lives.
Do you see any of God’s characteristics present in your life? Are there areas where you can strive to be more like our holy God?
