How did the church grow beyond Jerusalem?
Acts 15:41 tells us Paul “...went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.” Acts 16:5 says, “And so were the churches established in the faith and increased in number daily.”
The gospel did not remain in one city. As the apostles preached Christ, new churches were built in city after city. Each church was a local gathering, but they shared a common mission: to win souls for Jesus Christ.
This reminds us that God’s plan then and now is for churches to multiply. The message of salvation must be spread to every corner of the world. Churches multiply when God’s people are faithful in sharing the gospel.
We are part of that same mission today. Be a witness where you are and support the work of planting churches worldwide. God’s design is that His truth continues to move forward until every nation hears that Jesus saves.
