Do you have a deep desire to hear God’s word preached?

Have you ever considered the power of the preached Word? It's a theme woven throughout the scriptures, and it's not by chance. Mark, in his portrayal of Jesus' ministry, captures the essence of action and urgency, stating, "Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God" (Mark 1:14 NKJV). The gospel isn't just a concept; it's a call to action, a dynamic force that Jesus embodied. Matthew echoes this urgency, reporting Jesus' words, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17 NKJV). Even John the Baptist, the herald of Jesus, selected preaching as a central aspect of his ministry (Mark 1:4–8).

Paul, a key figure in spreading the gospel, imparts a timeless command to Timothy: "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season" (2 Timothy 4:2 NKJV). The ministry of preaching, it seems, has a foundation that spans generations, an enduring legacy passed down through the ages.

Similarly, Jesus, in Revelation 2 and 3, repeatedly emphasizes the importance of hearing. Seven times He declares, "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches" (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29 NKJV). It's a call to attentiveness, a reminder that faith is nurtured through the act of listening and obeying the preached Word.
