College & Christ: A 30-Day Devotional for College Girlsنموونە

Joy in the Journey
These words were spoken by Nehemiah as the people of Israel wept after hearing God’s Word. They were overwhelmed by guilt and brokenness, but Nehemiah reminded them that joy in God was their strength.
Happiness and joy are very different. Happiness comes and goes based on circumstances. You may be happy when you get good grades or a compliment. But joy comes from God, not situations. In college, there will be stress, disappointments, and struggles, but joy is what keeps you strong in the middle of it. You can still experience joy in the midst of your problems because God is STILL good.
Think about this...
What circumstances are stealing your happiness right now? What’s one way you can intentionally practice joy today?

As a mom, youth leader, and someone who has worked with teen girls for over 14 years, I know this season can feel both exciting and overwhelming. My prayer is that in these 30 days, you’ll be reminded that God is with you in every lecture hall, dorm room, late-night study session, and moment of doubt. You are loved, chosen, and equipped to shine.
