GENESIS 47
The family of Israel begins to live out what God declared for humanity back in Genesis 1:27: they become fruitful and multiply (Genesis 47:27). When God sends them to Goshen, it’s as if He is extending an invitation — to a people who would later be holy and set apart — to return to the beginning, to Eden, where He is the provider of all things and reveals Himself clearly and tangibly to His own.
Jesus also extended that invitation on the cross. Through His blood, we return to the beginning — to the garden, to the place of intimacy. Today, we have direct access to the heart of the Father and, even better, God Himself dwells within us through His Holy Spirit. He invites us to live a life centered on knowing and acknowledging Him as the only God, Lord of our lives, and provider of all we need.
LET'S PRAY:
Pray to the Lord for everything you need to live out His plans and promises for you, whether in finances, body, soul, or spirit. He is taking care of everything! Recognize and hold on to this truth.
