Your Decision, Your Freedom – The Call to Let Go

Throughout these days, we’ve walked the path of freedom from shame through Christ’s work. We’ve seen how our shame has been removed, our identity restored, and how the new covenant offers us a life without condemnation. However, the key to fully experiencing this freedom is in our hands: Jesus calls us, but we must let go.

Just as Bartimaeus decided to throw off his cloak and follow Jesus, we must release what ties us to shame and keeps us prisoners of the past. What do you need to let go of today? It might be the fear of what others think, the constant need for approval, the relentless voice of self-criticism, or holding on to the pain of old wounds.

He covered you once and for all. He restored your identity. Jesus’ work is complete. He already provided everything needed for our freedom. Now, the invitation is personal: to respond to His call with faith and courage. Now, like Bartimaeus, Jesus is calling you, but you are the one who has to let go.

Remember, when you decide to release shame, you begin to see yourself as God sees you. Transformation begins with a conscious choice. Today, choose to leave behind the shame that paralyzes you and embrace the freedom Christ offers. Let His unconditional love define you and empower you to live a full life, free from the chains of the past. The victory over shame was secured at the cross. Now, that victory is lived by you, by your decision!

Lord, thank You for Your call to freedom. Give me the courage to release any chain of shame and embrace the full life You offer. Help me live each day in the victory You won on the cross. In Jesus’ name, amen.
