My desire to follow Jesus should be greater than all the fears keeping me from going after Jesus!

✍️ Devotional Thought
Fear is one of the greatest barriers to discipleship. It whispers that following Jesus will cost too much—that you’ll have to give up too much, lose too much, or risk too much. But Jesus made it clear: “If anyone wants to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

The truth is, whatever you give up for Christ, He replaces with something far better. Peter, Andrew, and Matthew left behind their careers, possessions, and reputations, but they gained a new life full of purpose, joy, and eternal hope. What they lost was nothing compared to what they gained in Jesus.

Many people delay surrender, thinking they’ll follow Him later—after they’ve lived their own life or done what they want first. But tomorrow is not guaranteed. The greatest tragedy is not what you might lose by following Jesus, but what you miss if you don’t.

Don’t let fear be louder than your desire to know Jesus. His call is worth everything.
