A Slower Lifeنموونە

There is a Season for Everything
In Ecclesiastes, Solomon makes it plain: God has ordained times and seasons for everything. There are moments for mourning and moments for joy. Times to build and times to rest. Times for growth and times for letting go.
The thing is, we don’t get to decide the timing. Only the One who authored our lives knows when the season is right.
My spiritual mentor, Mrs. Barbara, used to lovingly ask me to pay attention to the time I was in. Instead of rushing toward what I wanted, she encouraged me to ask:
Is this the season God has me in right now?
Looking back, I can clearly see that it often wasn't.
But in the moment? All I could see was what I wanted and how badly I didn’t want to be in my current season.
Journaling Prompt:
How am I responding to my current season? What emotions are currently leading my life?
Prayer:
Dear God, help me to recognize that You have a wider understanding of my life and what is needed, not only that, but when it's needed. I surrender my frustrations with waiting to You. Please help me to leave it. In Christ's name, Amen.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel behind if we’re not constantly moving. We’re pressured to meet milestones quickly, whether it is via our career choices, relationships, or purpose. We also continuously believe we are behind, which causes us to build fast and desire immediate results. But what if God invites us to a slower, more intentional pace? A Slower Life is a seven-day journey that helps us to pause, reflect, and walk with God at His pace.
