A Slower Lifeنموونە

Pushing Past the Process
When thinking about our dreams and how we can sometimes be in a rush from yesterday's study, I've realized that we not only focus on what's next, but we also begin to wonder when it will happen.
Waiting becomes unbearable.
So we try to "make" the next thing happen. Do you know the outcome when we try to force God's will ahead of its time? Frustration. Overwhelm. Exhaustion. I've experienced this many times, truly not understanding God's timing and wondering why it's not happening in "my" time.
Let’s be honest: is there anything we can truly do to rush God's timing?
Sure, we can go ahead of Him, but it never produces the outcome we really wanted.
Just ask Abraham and Sarah. God promised them a child, but when it seemed like nothing was happening, they took matters into their own hands through Hagar. That one choice changed everything, and not for the better. Their story is a clear example of what happens when we try to force God’s promises in our own time.
I can tell you from experience, I’ve tried many times to “remind” God that His timeline isn’t syncing up with my plans (big smile), but life always shows me: God’s timing is about His will, not mine.
Journal Prompt:
What has God shown me clearly about this season of my life? What time is it currently in my life?

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel behind if we’re not constantly moving. We’re pressured to meet milestones quickly, whether it is via our career choices, relationships, or purpose. We also continuously believe we are behind, which causes us to build fast and desire immediate results. But what if God invites us to a slower, more intentional pace? A Slower Life is a seven-day journey that helps us to pause, reflect, and walk with God at His pace.
