Jesus modeled His spiritual connection with God through worship and prayer. He prayed in many ways.

Jesus spent time alone with God. He dwelled with His Father. He loved people, but before and after being with them, Scripture tells us He withdrew to pray. He went into the wilderness, He secluded Himself.

I remember when my three kids were little. Each day was full of chaos—yelling, running around like wild chickens. As I grew in faith, I knew if I didn’t make time to be with God in the quiet, I would spiral into mental chaos. I needed grounding, stillness, and a recharge—and I only found that through intentional prayer with my Creator.

Are you in a busy season? Do you struggle to stay grounded in the chaos? Like Jesus, we must be intentional every single day to slip away and pray.

Jesus also showed us the importance of being prayed up before hard things. Before the crucifixion, knowing how painful it would be, He prayed. Have you tried praying before difficult conversations, circumstances, or decisions? It might not change the situation, but it often changes us.

Jesus prayed for others. He had the power to perform miracles, yet He still prayed. Why? Because prayer connects us directly to the Miracle Giver.

Jesus prayed repeatedly. He even prayed the same thing more than once—even though He knew the outcome. How much more should we?

Keep praying. Prayer builds faith. God hears us the first time, every time. But we often need to remind ourselves that God is able.
