What Does Living Like Jesus Even Mean?نموونە

Jesus took care of His physical body. He ate well, slept, rested, and exercised—He was the original Cross Fit. Remember, Jesus knew His final destination. He knew why he was here and how everything was going to play out.
When I visited Israel, we traveled by bus to different tour stops. It struck me that the same route we took in a vehicle, Jesus walked on foot. The physical nature of Jesus’ ministry mattered. His journey didn’t keep Him stationary in one place, one church, or one season—it took Him everywhere.
Much like our journey, right? God calls us from place to place. But what about the endurance needed to get there? Jesus was physically fit to accomplish His mission. Every day was "leg day."
Jesus fasted. He starved the flesh to nourish His Spirit and hear His Father. Are you currently practicing rhythms of fasting to starve your flesh and feed your spirit? Fasting isn’t a command in Scripture, but we see Jesus model it for us.
Jesus rested. The one human who needed no rest because He was supernatural still showed us how important rest is. Do you make time for rest? Are you maxed out, squeezing in God when you can? Do you make physical space to hear Him spiritually?
Jesus took care of His temple—His body. Our physical well-being isn’t Jesus’ main concern in our earthly life (our relationship with God is), but it is important. Jesus shows us that we must take care of our vessels—temples of the Holy Spirit—to fulfill our calling. Being physically fit enough to carry it out is important to God.
