Return, Restore, Renew

Over these past weeks, we’ve journeyed through the voices of the prophets—Hosea’s relentless love, Joel’s call to repentance, Amos’s demand for justice, Obadiah’s warning of pride, Jonah’s struggle with mercy, and Zephaniah’s urgent proclamation of judgment and hope. Alongside them, the Gospel of Mark has unfolded the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus—the ultimate invitation to return to God in faith.

The consistent call echoes: Return to me. It’s a call not just to repentance, but to restoration, renewal, and new life. These ancient words and stories still pierce our hearts today, inviting us to examine where we’ve drifted, where we need healing, and where God’s grace is making all things new.

As we come to the final readings, Zephaniah 3:1-20 offers a powerful vision of God’s promise to restore His people fully, to rejoice over us with gladness and renew us in love. Meanwhile, Mark brings us to the heart of the gospel—the resurrection of Jesus, God’s triumphant victory over sin and death.

Today, as you read, ask God to help you embrace His invitation fully—to return, to be restored, and to live renewed by the risen King who calls us all into new life.
