Devotional Thought:
Have you ever thought, “I didn’t think it would be this hard?" That’s how a lot of people feel after deciding to follow Jesus. You think things will get easier—but sometimes, it gets harder. That’s because you’ve stepped into a fight. Paul says following Jesus is like going into battle. Not against people—but against lies, temptations, and everything trying to pull you away from God. But here’s the good news: God gives you armor. Truth to hold on to. Faith to protect your heart. Peace when things feel loud. And His Word, so you don’t have to guess what’s right. And here’s the promise: if you put it on and keep standing—you win. Jesus already won the fight. The only way you lose is if you quit. So don’t quit. Suit up. Keep going.
Reflection Question:
Where in your life are you most tempted to quit right now—and what would it look like to keep standing with Jesus instead?

The book of Ephesians is a letter written by Paul while imprisoned in Rome. He wrote to encourage believers in Ephesus, a wealthy city known for trade and idol worship. These Christians had once been far from God but were now learning what it meant to be found in Him. Paul reminded them of their new identity in Christ and called them to live differently—treating others well, speaking kindly, obeying, and standing strong in faith through life’s challenges. Join us in this 14-day devotional as we unpack Ephesians and what it means to follow Jesus!
