We Are Familyنموونە

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...
SHARE YOUR STORY
You've probably been told it's really important to share your story of faith with others. But sometimes we think we don't have a story to tell or we're not ready or experienced enough to share it. But the truth is, you do have stories to share, and you're ready right now! Today's challenge is going to help you identify a part of your story that's worth sharing, and then help you share it. Because sharing your story can help others, but sharing it helps you grow, too!
Everyone you encounter comes from their own unique background, lifestyle, and experience. You'll never meet two people exactly alike. Like the Ethiopian man in today's story, many are carrying around their own heartaches and disappointments. But then along came Phillip, prompted by the Holy Spirit to share his story with this man and welcome him into God's family.
What's something unique about you that you can share with someone else to encourage them during a hard time? Think of someone you know who might feel like an outsider or like they've been disappointed by their own family. You can encourage them with your experiences and tell them how they're welcomed into God's family with you.

Family can be complicated. Some family memories make us laugh, and others… well, we’d rather forget. The truth is, no family is perfect, and even the Bible is full of families that fell short of the ideal—just look at Abraham’s! In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll follow Abraham’s family, who had their own set of imperfections, and see how God was faithful through their best and worst moments. Along the way, we’ll discover that no matter what kind of family we have, there's always room for us in God's family.
