We Are Familyنموونە

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...
USE YOUR GIFTS
God has given all of us unique gifts. Whether it's your skills, talents, character traits, experiences, lessons learned, or even some of the stuff you own, you have a lot you can share with others. Today's challenge is going to help you think about the gifts God has uniquely given you, and how you can use those gifts to love God and others. Because when we use our gifts for God, we grow!
This week, we've talked a lot about how God stays the same even when families change. As you reflect on the past, you can probably spot some things in your family that have always been a certain way—roles people play, traditions you hold, and other things you've come to expect.
But as you think about it right now, maybe you see things shifting. It could be that your parents' expectations have changed as you get older. Or maybe circumstances outside your control have changed how your family spends time together or what traditions will continue.
For this challenge, think of a way to use your gifts and personality traits to serve others in your family. This could be doing something in a way you've always done, or it might be by using a new skill or something you've learned about yourself recently.

Family can be complicated. Some family memories make us laugh, and others… well, we’d rather forget. The truth is, no family is perfect, and even the Bible is full of families that fell short of the ideal—just look at Abraham’s! In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll follow Abraham’s family, who had their own set of imperfections, and see how God was faithful through their best and worst moments. Along the way, we’ll discover that no matter what kind of family we have, there's always room for us in God's family.
