We Are Familyنموونە

It's not always easy to know how to talk to God. But when we aren't sure how to pray, the Bible gives us words we can say. Today we're going to practice praying God's words.
Think about a common argument that might come up in your family. It could be something small, like eating the last of the snacks in the fridge without sharing, or something big, like saying hurtful words in the heat of the moment. What would it look like to offer peace and love with our forgiveness in those moments? With that in mind, try turning this passage into a prayer. Write it down, and pray those words as you write.

Family can be complicated. Some family memories make us laugh, and others… well, we’d rather forget. The truth is, no family is perfect, and even the Bible is full of families that fell short of the ideal—just look at Abraham’s! In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll follow Abraham’s family, who had their own set of imperfections, and see how God was faithful through their best and worst moments. Along the way, we’ll discover that no matter what kind of family we have, there's always room for us in God's family.
