This Is Not Your Home: A 3-Day Devotional on 2 Peter 3نموونە

Most believers are frequently reminded that this world is our temporary home. Of course, Christian pastors, leaders, speakers, authors, and others share this truth with the individuals whom they influence and serve. But honestly, the world itself—and its very broken state—is an unspoken reminder that it’s only our temporary home.
Still, it’s incredibly difficult to live like this world is our temporary home. There are so many earthly things that we devote our time, energy, and effort to. But as Peter wrote, “…both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10 NKJV). Only our perfect heavenly home is truly worth looking forward to!
Prayer: Dear God, I place far too much value on earthly things, even though I know that Earth will soon pass away. Please forgive me and help me focus more on the life to come than on this present life. I want to reflect Your holiness and righteousness.
