God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)نموونە

Isaiah Week 2 – Day 1
In 2012, San Francisco State University published a study that looked at the satisfaction people got from purchasing life experiences. An idea that was repeated throughout the study insinuated that “Why you buy is more important than what you buy.” The study showed that possessions or experiences purchased to impress were viewed by the purchaser as significantly less satisfying than purchases that lined up with their values or personal desires.
While this study evaluated monetary purchases without God as a factor, we can still learn something important from it. Why is more important than what. We can be tempted to live a life that impresses those around us, to make choices that highlight our successes, spiritual maturity, or desirability. But when we choose to impress people instead of serving God, we often find ourselves lacking, even if we “have it all.”
