100 Days of Prayer for Difficult Times: What to Pray During Your Hardest Daysنموونە

Dear God,
I’m finally facing this mess I’ve created. I know that I am often my own worst enemy. I unintentionally create chaos in my life by how I speak to and behave toward others. I confess that I have an out-of-control hot temper and have used the “that’s just how I am” excuse too often. However, it’s time for me to admit what that means. When I fly off the handle at someone, my temper lays the groundwork for the difficult situation and damaged relationship that develops. Of course, I don’t want to be a doormat for others by letting them walk all over me. But I admit that my anger has never yet solved any issue . . . only made things worse.
Father, I need your help to control my anger. Teach me how to respond to others with strength but still be respectful. Show me how to stand up for myself but be understanding of others’ opinions and feelings.
Help me learn to defuse a difficult situation right at the beginning rather than escalate it with my attitude and words. Father, I want to reflect you in every situation. I am your woman. Help me act like it.
