Still Small Voice: 7-Day Meditations on the Words of Jesusنموونە

Embraced by Love
When the young son decided to return home, disgraced and ashamed, he didn’t know how his father would receive him. He was ready to beg to be a servant. He didn’t expect to be treated as a son because he had squandered away everything his father had given him. He was prepared to work alongside the employees.
The father’s reaction to his son’s return must have overwhelmed the young man. While the son was away from his father, shame told him he wasn’t worthy of his father’s compassion, but who could stop the father’s love? This is how our heavenly Father receives us when we turn to him. He is full of affection and delight over our return.
Jesus, I can’t begin to describe how needy I am. I come to you ready for anything today. Wash over me with your perfect love.
