What is the Gospel?
• The good news is, God wants to show you his incredible favor.
• Here’s the gospel in a phrase. Because Christ died for us, those who trust in him may know that their guilt has been pardoned once and for all.
• The good news is that God’s face will always be turned toward you, regardless of what you have done, where you have been, or how many mistakes you’ve made.
• The gospel itself refers to the proclamation that Jesus, the crucified and risen Messiah, is the one, true, and only Lord of the world.
• Good news! God is becoming King and he is doing it through Jesus!
• My understanding of Jesus’ message is that he teaches us to live in the reality of God now-here and today.

1. Are you standing in the gospel every day or merely remembering when you first believed? What would it look like for you to “hold fast” to the gospel on a daily basis?
2. If someone asked you what the gospel is, could you clearly explain it to them? What verses would you use?
3. How does Jesus’ resurrection fill you with hope when you observe all of the chaos happening in our world today?
