Mentre visquis, ningú no et podrà resistir, perquè jo seré amb tu tal com vaig ser amb Moisès: no et deixaré ni t’abandonaré. Sigues ferm i decidit, perquè hauràs de portar aquest poble a prendre possessió del país que vaig prometre als seus pares. Sigues, doncs, ben ferm i decidit, i mira de posar en pràctica tota la Llei que elmeu servent Moisès et va manar, sense desviar-te’n ni a dreta ni a esquerra. Així et sortirà bé tot el que emprenguis. Tingues sempre als llavis aquest llibre de la Llei: repassa-la de nit i de dia, per complir tot el que hi ha escrit. Així duràs a bon terme tot el que emprenguis; tot et sortirà bé. T’ho repeteixo: sigues ferm i decidit, no tinguis por, no t’acovardeixis. Jo, el Senyor, el teu Déu, seré amb tu arreu on aniràs.
