Finalment, deixeu-vos enrobustir pel Senyor i per la seva força poderosa. Revestiu-vos amb l’armadura que Déu us dóna per a poder fer front als atacs astuts del diable. Perquè no ens toca de lluitar contra realitats humanes, sinó contra les potències i les autoritats, contra els qui dominen aquest món de tenebres, contra els esperits malignes que són a les regions celestials. Poseu-vos l’armadura que Déu us dóna i així, en aquell dia dolent, sereu capaços de resistir i de mantenir-vos ferms fins a la fi. Estigueu a punt, doncs! Poseu-vos el cinturó de la veritat, revestiu-vos amb la cuirassa de la justícia, estigueu ben calçats, a punt per a anunciar l’evangeli de la pau. Poseu-vos sobretot l’escut de la fe, capaç d’apagar tots els dards encesos del Maligne. Preneu el casc de la salvació, i l’espasa de l’Esperit, que és la paraula de Déu. Pregueu en tota ocasió, moguts per l’Esperit, amb oracions i súpliques; vetlleu amb constància intercedint a favor de tot el poble sant i a favor meu, perquè em vinguin als llavis paraules valentes per a fer conèixer el misteri de l’evangeli
