Per tant, humilieu-vos i sotmeteu-vos a la mà poderosa de Déu, i ell us enaltirà en el temps que té fixat. Descarregueu en ell totes les vostres preocupacions, ja que ell mateix té cura de vosaltres. Sigueu sobris, vetlleu! El vostre adversari, el diable, rugint com un lleó, ronda cercant qui engolir. Resistiu-li ferms en la fe, sabent que la comunitat de germans estesa arreu del món ha de suportar els mateixos sofriments. I, després que haureu sofert per poc temps, el Déu de tota gràcia, que en Jesucrist us ha cridat a la seva glòria eterna, us refarà les forces, us enfortirà, us refermarà i us donarà un fonament segur. D’ell és el poder per sempre. Amén.
