Und es geschah, solange Mose seine Hand aufhob, hatte Israel die Oberhand; wenn er aber seine Hand sinken ließ, hatte Amalek die Oberhand. Aber die Hände Moses wurden schwer, darum nahmen sie einen Stein und legten den unter ihn, und er setzte sich darauf. Aaron aber und Hur stützten seine Hände, auf jeder Seite einer. So blieben seine Hände fest, bis die Sonne unterging.
