He said to them, “Then render to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?

“Beware of the scribes who desire to walk in long robes and who love greetings in the marketplaces and the prominent seats in the synagogues and the seats of honor at banquets, who devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive greater condemnation.”
