The Grass Is Greener Where You Water It
The grass is greener where you water it.
Comparison is one of the fastest ways to steal your joy. Stop putting people on pedestals. Stop comparing your life to what you see online. You have no idea what battles people are fighting behind the scenes.
Your life is yours alone. God has given you a unique masterpiece to create, and no one else can write the story He has for you.
Happiness is not some far-off destination. It is a choice…a decision to live in gratitude and awe for everything God has already done in your life and everything not yet revealed. Gratitude unlocks joy in the present, while faith gives you strength to keep reaching forward.
You can live in both contentment and pursuit. You can be deeply grateful while still striving to be, do, and have more. That’s not contradiction…that’s stewardship. The secret is this: don’t measure your life against someone else’s highlight reel. Water your own grass. Cultivate your own calling. Choose gratitude today, and joy will follow.
•Where have I been comparing myself to others instead of cultivating what God has given me?
•What can I choose to be grateful for right now, even as I strive for more?
Lord, thank You for the life You’ve given me. Forgive me for the times I’ve compared myself to others instead of focusing on my own calling. Teach me to live in gratitude for what You’ve already done and in faith for what’s ahead. Help me to water the ground You’ve placed me on and to see my life as the masterpiece You are creating. In Jesus’ name, amen.
