GUARDING YOUR HEART IN A DIGITAL WORLD

Have you noticed how your heart is constantly under attack while scrolling, streaming and swiping? Constant time on a device can quietly erode your sensitivity to God's voice.

What you watch, listen to and dwell on does not stay on a screen; it enters your heart, shapes your thoughts and desires, and eventually influences your behaviour. The condition of your heart determines the direction of your life.

Scripture reminds us: "The eye is the lamp of the body" (Matthew 6:22) and "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). Unknowingly, we can begin to tolerate content that dulls our awareness of God. It can blur your convictions and open the door to anxiety. Soon, you will begin to compare yourself with others, or fall into the trap of compromise

Just as you filter water to keep it clean, you must filter your "digital intake" to keep your heart pure. Paul urges us in Philippians 4:8, "Whatever things are true… noble… just… pure… lovely… of good report… meditate on these things."

The purpose is more than only wise advice; it is even more so for our spiritual protection. When you spend your time and fill your heart with what honours God, you make space for His peace, clarity and voice to lead you.

"The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever" (Psalm 19:9a). May our deeds and our hearts reflect that kind of reverence.

PRAYER

Father, I want my heart to reflect You. Help me guard what I see, hear and think about. Show me anything I've allowed that darkens my spirit. Fill my heart with Your light and truth. Holy Spirit, lead me to focus on what is good and pure. I choose to honour You in every area of my life.
