PURITY INSTEAD OF COMPROMISE

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the flood of messages that twist love into lust, purity into weakness and truth into something subjective? Social media, entertainment and even casual conversations often normalise what God clearly calls you to resist. These messages do not just stay on the screen; they subtly shape how you think, what you desire and how you see yourself and others.

But God's call to holiness remains firm: "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality" (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Purity is not outdated; it is sacred ground where intimacy with God grows deeper.

Jesus declared, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). Purity is not about flawless behaviour, but about a heart that is undivided, a heart that longs for God above all else. The enemy often distorts our desires through temptation, but the Holy Spirit empowers us to walk in truth and freedom. "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word" (Psalm 119:9).

Holiness starts in the secret places and flows outward in the choices you make daily. Choosing purity is choosing intimacy with God. It brings more than moral standing; it brings you closer to His presence. And His presence satisfies more than any temporary pleasure ever could.

If you have stumbled in the past, hear this: God is not seeking perfection. He is seeking repentance, a heart that longs to be made holy. You can start again. Purity is possible by the power of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Strengthen me to resist temptation, treasure Your Word and walk in holiness. Purify my thoughts and desires. Fill me with Your Spirit so my life may honour You in every way.
