Living One: A Study of Integrity in Hebrewsনমুনা

Day 8: Jesus makes me new – a life to embrace
Changed Thoughts Equals Changed Behaviour
“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’” – Revelation 21:5 (NIV)
“…He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” – Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
When you are in Christ, everything changes—starting with your mind. Transformation doesn’t begin with trying harder, it begins with thinking differently. Jesus didn’t come to modify your behaviour—he came to make you new.
As your thoughts align with what God says about you, your actions follow. If you still think like a slave, you’ll live like one, even though you’ve been set free. But when you renew your mind around his truth, your behaviour becomes a natural overflow of your identity.
God is not done with you. He’s actively at work—shaping your thoughts, refining your desires, and forming Christ in you.
Christ Is My New Lord and Master
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…” – Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
In the kingdom of God, identity always leads to surrender. The old you is gone—crucified with Christ. You’re not the master of your life anymore. Jesus is not just your Saviour; he’s your Lord.
The Christian life isn’t you trying to live like Jesus—it’s Jesus living his life through you. The Spirit of God now lives in you, empowering you to walk in freedom and obedience.
Prayer Reflection
Jesus, I surrender my thoughts and desires to you. Thank you for making me new and giving me your life. Be the Lord of my thoughts, my choices, and my direction. Let me live today in the freedom of who I truly am in you. Amen.
