Jesus Is…Relationalনমুনা

Day 4 - Jesus is…a leader.
Colossians 1:15-23 (ESV)
Devotional: Colossians 1:16-18 (ESV) states, "all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." He is the ultimate leader of all He has created. Colossians 1 contains a poem about our Lord that describes Jesus as having great authority. Just as an artist has the right to paint as they wish, God has authority over creation because He is the Creator. He is both the Creator and the Leader. God is a leader who has guided His people from the very beginning. Whether protecting them in the garden or leading them into the Promised Land with Moses, He is a ruler with all authority. This shows that, no matter how chaotic the world seems, God is not worried. He has simply invited us to trust Him and to place all our allegiance in the one true God, the King of the universe. Jesus is our leader; He is the head of the church. All authority has been given to Him, so rest assured that what you see in the news is not the final story. Let the gospel restore your hope for the future, for the true authority of this world is our loving and just God.
Prayer: Jesus, lead me in every area of my life. Help the leaders around me model Your perfect leadership. Thank you for continuously and lovingly leading us toward You each day.

About this Plan

For many religions, it is a foreign concept to have a God that desires a relationship. But that is an essential claim of the Christian faith. Join us as we unpack the idea that Jesus is relational by looking at different ways that Jesus is committed to a relationship with his people.
