Jesus Is…Relationalনমুনা

Day 3 - Jesus is…an overcomer.
Revelation 12:11 (ESV)
Devotional: The Book of Revelation is known for many things, but its main purpose is often overlooked. At its core, Revelation is a book of worship and hope, filled with singing and praise because, in the end, God Triumphs over evil and establishes His reign on Earth. Jesus has defeated the spiritual powers and corrupt systems that oppose God. The incredible news is that the victory Jesus won, He shares with His followers. Thanks to His triumph and the Spirit's power, you can now walk with confidence, live freely, and enjoy God fully. Jesus did not have a physical army, yet He overcame by laying down His life. Only in the upside-down Kingdom of God does a bloody lamb defeat a red dragon. The Lamb of God has defeated the dragon of the enemy. He showed that faithfulness, not force, is what gives Christians real strength. Only through Jesus can believers resist temptation and live victoriously. The Lamb of God has won. Still, like the Israelites in the wilderness, we sometimes long for the comfort of old chains. But true freedom is not always easy, and it requires perseverance and trust. Only by walking daily in relationship with Jesus do the chains fall away.
Prayer: Jesus, you are an overcomer in every way. You overcame sin for me when I constantly can not. Strengthen your followers, Lord. Help me to keep walking in confidence because You have overcome the world.

About this Plan

For many religions, it is a foreign concept to have a God that desires a relationship. But that is an essential claim of the Christian faith. Join us as we unpack the idea that Jesus is relational by looking at different ways that Jesus is committed to a relationship with his people.
