How to Love God with your Mind

Connecting with God through Learning is having a desire to know what, why, and how God thinks. You make the choice to continue seeking, finding, and loving Him.

Imagine a father who is playing hide and seek with his child. He may hide in a place that isn't too difficult to find, but the father finds joy in his little child seeking to find him. And the child finds joy in the journey of discovering where his father is. Similarly, God doesn’t hide things from us; He hides things for us.

This is a picture of connecting with God through Learning. He has surprises and revelations, both big and small, waiting for you to find and grab hold of. God delights in your questions, researching, and seeking. Proverbs 25:2 reads, “God conceals the revelation of His Word in the hiding place of his glory. But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.”

The goal is to KNOW God, not just know about Him. Part of connecting with God through Learning is giving yourself space to go down the rabbit-trails He is leading you into through Scripture. Let Him lead you today.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for Your ways, character, and wisdom. Help me learn them. Give me the understanding of Your Word, a greater desire to read Your Word, and a desire to learn Your heart and mind in all things. Amen.
