We make room for them. We listen, with no hesitation or reservations. Not ashamed whether or not our homes are befitting for them, we open our doors. With no excuse for having little or nothing, we welcome a friend. We chose our friends, the same way Jesus chose Mary and her siblings. We serve our friends, just as Martha and Mary served Jesus with the comfort of their home and their meals. They saw a need to serve, so they opened up their home and lives. To be a friend of Jesus is to listen to Him. It is to open our lives to Him. It is to serve him. It is to choose Him. It is to sit at His feet. Jesus has chosen you as a friend.
