I Searched for Justice, but Found Love預覽

The challenge of sharing love where justice is expected
“…but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)
Psalm 103 is a psalm of praise to God's grace. “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” (vs 8). “He does not deal with us according to our sins,” (vs 10) “…as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us.” (vs 12)
My favorite verses are 13 and 14. In verse 13 we read how God cares for those who are in awe of Him and love Him as a Father would care for a child. Even more beautiful is the reason given in verse 14. “For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.”
That makes a big difference. God knew what He was getting into when He decided to give us His love. It's no surprise to Him that you and I are sinful and will remain so. He has a realistic view of us. For people who are quick to dwell on feelings of self-judgment, this can bring great freedom. God cares for you because He knows you need His care and without it you can't make it.
Do you also realize that everyone continues to sin and remains flawed? Does this prevent you from loving the other person or does it increase your compassion?
Jesus died for you and me when we had no idea what that meant. So, like Him, let’s be the first to love the other person, even if the other person doesn’t accept you yet. Longing for justice is permissible, but giving love is often the best way to get there.

When we experience injustice, we long for God to execute justice. But that also presents us with a problem: none of us is completely righteous. So if God Is to execute justice, He has to punish us as well. But don't worry, God has found a unique way to love us in spite of our mistakes. In this exciting reading plan, you can read about this solution, and how it can work in your life.
