# Day 13 - Mt. of Beatitudes “Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down.” (Mathew 5:1) A large part of Jesus’s ministry was preaching to crowds that followed Him. In the Galilee region we know that He attracted large crowds. It was one of these movements early in His ministry that led Him to preach one of the most famous sermons in history, the Sermon on the Mount. He saw the people and He taught them. He showed them a new way, a different way—one that required not the letter of the law as Moses taught but required a repentant heart, a posture of humility, and deep faith. He turned upside down their notion of what the kingdom of God looked like, and the world was never the same. Jesus taught the people a new way. How should this teaching change the way that we live our daily lives?
