God With Us On the first day of Advent we celebrate the reason for this joyous season. The Old Testament foretells the miraculous wonder of Jesus’ birth: “and he will be called Immanuel.” The Hebrew name Immanuel translates to God with us . Jesus is not only the God who saves us but the God who is with us. He walked the earth as a man and understands every aspect of life we face. The trials, the victories, the ups the downs and everything in between. Whatever you are facing today, you have a savior who understands, you have Immanuel, God with us.
