The Strength Exchange

There is a special moment that happens when we finally stop trying to carry everything on our own and lay it all down before God. Isaiah 40:31 doesn’t say that those who try harder or strive more will be strong—it says that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. This is not about hustling for spiritual performance. It’s about surrender. It’s about recognizing that our strength has limits—but God’s strength does not. He invites us into a divine exchange: our weakness for His power. Our anxiety for His peace. Our exhaustion for His endurance. Even the strongest among us eventually grow tired. Isaiah 40:30 says, “Even youths grow tired and weary.” So if you’re feeling burned out, you’re not failing—you’re human. And that’s exactly where God meets us. He doesn’t shame our weakness; He fills it. He doesn’t rush us forward; He revives us where we are. So today, stop trying to be strong on your own. Let God be your strength. Invite Him into the places where you’ve run out. Trust Him with your weariness. Because the most powerful moments of your life may not be the ones where you felt the strongest—but the ones where you realized your strength could only come from Him.
