SAUL ANOINTED KING OVER ISRAEL
Following God’s directions, Samuel anoints Saul as the king over Israel. The Spirit of God comes upon Saul, and God gives him a new heart. After following Samuel’s instructions and waiting seven days, including offering a sacrifice as commanded, Saul is proclaimed king over Israel. The people are excited to receive their long-awaited king.
