5 Prayers for Your Son’s School Year预览

You love your son deeply. You want him to be confident in who he is and to know God for himself.
But the school year brings its own weight. The rush of mornings. The ache of missed moments. The worry over choices you can’t control.
And so we pray.
As mom to two elementary-aged boys, I created this plan for that sacred space. Those quiet moments when:
- your heart hopes or aches
- you don’t know what to say
- all you can do is speak God’s truth over your son
Each day offers a Bible verse and a simple prayer to launch your conversation with God. No perfect words required.
- Invite Him into the real places of your son’s life. Academic pressures, friendship dynamics, fears, identity, and the daily shaping of his character.
- As you pray, pause and listen. Ask God what He sees. Let Him lead the conversation.
- Pray as an act of trust. You may not see fruit today, but your prayers are planting seeds. They're taking root. Every word matters. Every moment counts.
With each prayer, you're entrusting your son to God and speaking life over him through these simple, sacred conversations.
Let's start with our first prayer.
Courage in the Unknown
God, when my son steps into new situations that feel overwhelming, fill him with Your courage. Remind him that he doesn't have to face anything alone because You are always right there with him. Drive out fear and strengthen him by Your presence. Help him stand tall as he follows You. Show me how to speak courage into his life and keep him safe as he lives courageously. Amen.

You won’t be there for every moment—when your son faces pressure to fit in, wrestles with big emotions, or wonders if he has what it takes. But God will. This 5-day prayer plan from Bible teacher Jen Weaver helps you cover your son in powerful, Scripture-rooted prayers. Each day includes a verse and heartfelt prayer for his courage, character, wisdom, and identity in Christ. This isn’t about shielding him from life’s challenges—it’s about inviting God to shape who he’s becoming through them.
