God’s Strengthening Word: Mercy & Forgiveness预览

Introduction
Genesis 39:1–23: When Joseph is brought to Egypt, he is sold to Potiphar, one of the king’s officers, and he becomes Potiphar’s personal servant. Potiphar’s wife attempts to seduce him, and when Joseph refuses her advances, she brings false charges against him for which he is imprisoned.
Today’s Key Verse: Genesis 39:23b GNT
The LORD was with Joseph and made him succeed in everything he did.
Reflect
Why did both Potiphar and the jailer entrust Joseph with important responsibilities? What reversals in Joseph’s life are recorded in this chapter? When have you experienced a time when the outcome to a situation was not one you had anticipated? How did you handle it?
Pray
Lord God, you are with me and help me day by day. Whatever troubles I may encounter, I know, Lord God, that you are there, walking beside me and leading me in the way of your truth. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
