Love God Greatly: For Such a Time as This - a Study on the Book of Esther预览

Week 1: Relying on and Trusting God's Wisdom
Walking Wisely
Read:Esther 2:1-4, Ephesians 5:15
SOAP: Ephesians 5:15
“Therefore consider carefully how you live—not as unwise but as wise”
Into the Text
We live in a world filled with distractions, don’t we? It’s easy to look around and see how much can pull our attention away from Jesus, whether it’s the busyness of life, the temptation to chase after worldly success, or the subtle idols we build without even realizing it. The truth is, there’s a lot that can draw our hearts away from our first love.
That’s why Paul’s words in Ephesians 5:15 are so powerful. He urges us to be intentional about how we live, to walk wisely in an evil world that seeks to lead us astray. Wisdom isn’t simply about making good decisions; it’s about walking closely with God, allowing His Word to direct our steps and light our paths.
Just as Esther had to rely on God’s wisdom while navigating the complexities of her new life in the royal palace, we, too, are faced with choices each day that require us to seek His guidance. Will we choose to live in a way that honors God when the world pulls us in different directions? Will we keep our eyes fixed on Him when distractions abound? True wisdom is found in seeking God in every decision, both big and small, and trusting that He will faithfully lead us in the direction we need to go.
Maybe today you’re feeling the weight of the world’s distractions, or perhaps you’ve found yourself drifting from that close walk with Jesus. Be encouraged, sweet friend. God’s wisdom is always available to you. All you need to do is ask. Turn back to your first love; He is waiting with open arms to welcome you back.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, help me to live wisely in a world that often pulls me away from you. Guide my steps and keep my heart focused on what matters most—walking closely with you. Give me discernment to see the dangers around me and the strength to choose you every day. Amen.
