Revive Us, Lord: A 40-Day Journey Through the Gospel of John预览

Following the Lamb of God
Summary
- John the Baptist knew his life mission as the herald of the coming King. Hence, he earnestly introduced Jesus to Israel and pointed all seekers to Jesus.
- Two of John’s disciples then followed Jesus, and they in turn brought others to Christ.
- Jesus promised His new disciples that through Him, they would experience supernatural encounters in the coming days. They would see heaven open and angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man. This promise was fulfilled in subsequent years as they walked with Jesus.
Reflect
1. John the Baptist knew his life mission and he faithfully pointed people to Christ. Do you know your life mission? Have you been pointing others to Christ?
2. Jesus invited His disciples to “come and see.” And they gave up everything to follow Him. How is He inviting you to follow Him in your current walk of faith? Are you willing to make sacrifices to follow Him wholeheartedly? What will you need to do?

3. Can you identify the seven titles given to Jesus in this passage? Does any of these titles mean something to you? Why?
Closing Prayer
Spend time thanking Jesus for being the Lamb of God and for taking away your sin. Ask Him to help you walk in repentance and grow closer to Him in faith and obedience.
