The Super Ambassador!
Superheroes have long been ambassadors for their causes. Steve Rogers was the world’s first super-soldier. He is the ultimate good guy who stands up for those who can’t stand up for themselves. Superman is also known for being an honorable ambassador. Wonder Woman, a member of the Justice League, became an ambassador for peace and stood against the Nazis.
In a general sense, an ambassador is an official who acts as a representative of a nation. The ambassador is called to reflect the official position of the country who gave him or her the authority. So, when Paul calls us ambassadors of Christ, it means we have been chosen to represent Him! Because we have been reconciled by Christ on the cross, it is possible to be His ambassador.
Have you ever noticed that Pauls’ verse that we read today isn’t written only to pastors or those who are missionaries in a far-off country? Paul is writing to us, no matter what our career or age. He is speaking to you. You are called to be Christ’s ambassador—His representative.
As His ambassadors, we are on duty 24/7. Everywhere we go, everything we say, every time we respond, we are representing our Savior. We are called to be “all in,” not double-minded or distracted by the things of this world. We don’t clock-in on Sundays for worship and then clock-out when the service is over. We are full-time ambassadors for Christ.
How are you representing Christ? When people see you, do they see Christ’s love and compassion?

Suggested prayer: “God, I want to be a true ambassador for You. I confess that I don’t always represent you well in my words and actions. I want to change and allow Your Holy Spirit to change my life. May I be a respected ambassador for the Truth.”
