Worry seems to be a regular part of life, doesn’t it? When you feel worried about homework, friendships, or things happening in your family, how do you handle it? Do you ignore it? Talk with a friend about it? Try to push it down? Are you angry about it? No matter how you typically respond to worry, we have the opportunity to take the best first step to help us with it, and that’s prayer. When we take our worries to God in prayer, we’re not just dealing with what’s on our minds. We’re also taking a huge step to connect with God and see our faith grow in new ways. Will prayer make our worries go away? Not always! But it will always be beneficial to us to manage our worries with God’s help.
Ask a friend to be your worry-checker this week. Have them encourage you to go to God in prayer to handle your worries every day.
